Richmond, BC— Saturday, November 19th 2022 — Maritama Carlson, is a well-known Richmond based Film Producer, Teacher, Volunteer and 2015 winner of Outstanding Mother from the prestigious United Global Chinese Woman’s Association of Canada. She entered a contest called Fabover40 2022. Fabover 40 is an international contest designed to showcase woman over 40 years of age who are not only over 40, but who represent healthy lifestyles. The grand prize is $40,000 USD, a 2 page spread in a beauty magazine and a spa-cation in Scottsdale Arizona. There were over 100,000 contestants and Maritama is currently placed at number 12, with one day left to win first place in this phase of the contest. Social media voting is free through Facebook or by providing a credit card to verify that you are an individual, as no robo voting is allowed. If you vote with a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and you are immediately provided with a tax receipt.

Because of the large number of contestants, they first competed in groups of 50. Maritama came second in her group, now she is in the Wildcard phase, where only the first place contestant earns a slot in the last phase. Only the top 10 compete to the finals. Please help her win! A magazine spread is advertising for her business, and the prize money will be invested into her business here in Richmond.
